Purpose of this website

I am an enthusiastic amateur cyclist who loves cycling and I want to help others to experience the wonders and joys of exploring Korea by bicycle.  So this website is to share information about cycling in Korea with others.  Social networking sites are great for finding others who share your interests, but it is hard to present information in an organised easily accessible way resulting in the same questions and answers repeating themselves.

Who am I?

In 2006 I set foot in the land of the morning calm for the first time and soon grew to love Korea.

In 2007 I bought my first second-hand bicycle in Seoul to explore the neighborhood around the Han and Yangjae rivers. Cycling under the cherry blossoms, along the Han river to Seoul forest or from Gangnam to the World Cup Stadium changed everything!

Since 2012 I call Busan home where I bought my first hybrid bicycle and ended up cycling the Nakdong river bike path.  In the winter of 2013 I bought my first road bike and cycled around Jeju.  My next Korea trip in 2015 was along the gorgeous Seomjin river followed by Yeongsang river. II regularly try out new paths in and around Busan and as far as Yangsan, Gimhae, Ulsan or Miryang, just to explore the world I love on two wheels.  And I love to share what I discover with others and try to organise social rides from time to time.

I am trying to cycle as much as possible as a form of transport, to work, to shops, to appointments etc and I plan to cycle all the cycling routes in Korea including the ones not yet constructed.

2019 UPDATE:
I have not updated this site in a long time and so some of the information might be out of date. At the moment I am taking a break from managing this blog so if you have burning questions you might not get a reply. I hope to update and work on it again in the future, until then I hope some of the information can still be useful to you.
