Spring flower cycle route

3/4/2014

I would like to recommend the perfect spring flower cycling route in Busan.  It is easy, flat and covers some of the best flower spots in Busan all in 2 to 3 hours.  To have the best possible experience go early morning to avoid the weekend flower seeking crowds.
Picture
  • Start:  Centum city subway
  • Cycle Northward bound on the West side of Suyeong river
  • Take the turn off to the West for Oncheon stream.
  • Prepare to be amazed by cherry blossoms!
  • Cycle until Dongrae station
  • Use a smart phone or GPS to cycle 5 minutes to Minam station (Line 3)
  • Take the subway from Minam station to Gangseo-gu Office station (20 min)
  • Go out of exit 1, walk straight, cross the busy street and enter Daejeo park
  • Prepare to see a sea of yellow flowers.
  • After enjoying the rapeseed flowers head South along the Nakdong river.
  • Find the elevated cherry blossom tunnel cycling road.
  • Cycle 8km South until Eulsukdo island, follow the signs for the certification centre.
  • On the island you find the Certification centre where you can buy a 4 river bike trail passport and get your first stamp.
  • Option 1 cycle from there to Hadan station and go home.
  • Option 2 cycle to the East side of the river and cycle up North along the Nakdong river, through another 8 km of cherry blossoms to Gupo station.
